Service Description

This introduction to blacksmithing class is for people who have never forged before but want more than a Flirt with Fire.  The skilled instructors will teach you forging mechanics, hammer control, and proper forging techniques as you create several projects, from hooks to leaves.  Each project builds a skill set that is reinforced and expanded upon in the next project! This class covers the basics of the LV1 ABANA National Curriculum and acts as part 1 the class series we offer for those interested in becoming a professional smith or just want to add the certification to their tool belt. Upon satisfactory completion of this class students can get signed off on their NC checklist and be well on their way to LV 1 certification. More info on the National curriculum page! It runs on select Sat or Sundays from 9-4 with a 45 min break for lunch, bring a sack lunch or run out to one of the many restaurants nearby.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel a class at least a week in advance and use the full deposit towards any other class for up to 1 year. Complete cancelation results in $50 fee No shows and last-minute cancelations (6 days before or less) forfeit the entire deposit. We reserve the right to cancel classes with low enrollment (less than 3). Warning will be given a week in advance.
