Service Description

This introduction to blacksmithing class is for people who have never forged steel before, but want to dive right in and want to work towards making knives. The skilled instructors will teach you forging mechanics, hammer control, and proper forging techniques as you create several projects. Each project builds a skill set that is reinforced and expanded upon in the next project! Students will learn key basic blacksmithing and heat treating techniques while forging a custom set of tent stakes, drive hooks, and three-piece set of utensils, including a basic bush knife. If you would like to pay in full or have a gift card please contact us at 970-215-4666. This class runs on specified weekends: Friday 6-9 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-4pm. If you cancel a class, there is a $50 cancellation fee. You can also cancel and use the full deposit towards any other class for up to 1 year.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel a class at least a week in advance and use the full deposit towards any other class for up to 1 year. Complete cancelation results in $50 fee No-shows and last-minute cancelations (6 days before or less) forfeit the entire deposit. We reserve the right to cancel classes with low enrollment (less than 3). The warning will be given a week in advance.
